Your Face Sounds Familiar on ITV is a new Saturday Night show that sees celebrities performing musical numbers to judges Donny Osmond and Emma Bunton while dressed up and disguised as the original artist who they are copying, right down to the dance routine!
If you are old enough to remember Stars in their Eyes” where members of the public performed songs dressed and disguised as the stars they were copying, Your Face Sounds Familiar does much the same thing but this time with celebrities.
Your Face Sounds Familiar on ITV is typical Saturday night entertainment. There are singers and judges and viewers can vote on their favourite act. Alisha Dixon and Paddy McGuiness host the show and there are some truly bizarre and memorable performances.
In the first episode, Bobby Davro did Tom Jones and Sex Bomb. Alexander Armstrong performed as Johnny Cash and Eastenders actress Cheryl Ferguson delivered Dusty Springfield with You Don’t Have To Say You Love me. . The same celebrities will continue throughout the run of the show performing songs that are chosen randomly.
Each week points are awarded by the judges and the viewing public and sees the week’s winner winning £10,000 for charity. The winner of the overall series of 6 episodes nets £50,000 for his or her chosen charity.
Your Face Sounds Familiar is a new show which first aired in 2013. It is an Endermol production – the company behind many successful shows including Pointless and Deal Or No Deal so comes backed with some successful credentials.
