Trade Your Way to the USA
Trade Your Way to the USA
Trade You Way to the USA on CBBC is a children’s reality “Apprentice “ style show that is open for 11 to 14 year olds and is all about making money and trading.
It is overseen by Apprentice runner up and TV presenter Saira Khan and the show sees 14 teams of three children try to make money in a simple business environment such as a market stall, craft fair or food outlet. These are very similar to the tasks awarded on the Apprentice as the teams attempt to haggle and negotiate in order to make the most profit. Unlike the Apprentice, Trade Your Way to the USA does not culminate in ritual insulting of individual team members and no one is fired. Instead, profits are simply counted and the winning team proceeds to the next round.
The team get to give themselves names in true Apprentice style fashion and they carry out various tasks such as selling ice creams, trading at a market , selling tee shirts or similar.
In Trade Your Way To the USA the contestants must compete in order to make their way through to the next stage of the competion. The final two teams get to compete in the USA at an event such as selling hotdogs at a football game or similar.
Trade Your Way to the USA was first broadcast in 2011 and so far has competed three series. Catch up with Trade Your Way to the USA via youriplayer.co.uk and maybe you will see the next major businessman or woman of the future.
