The Voice UK is a the British version of the show which was first devised in the Netherlands and today most countries have their own version. The Voice USA is one of the most popular TV shows in America for example but this success has not crossed over the pond to the UK.

It is possible that the talent show format is reaching the end of its road, however The Voice UK does have its fans and this glossy high quality show is entertaining. The mix of judges with strong musical credentials is appealing and the fact that all the contestants can sing makes it much less painful than many of the other talent shows.
