The Last Leg on Channel 4 is a comedy show that looks at the events and the major talking points of the last seven days. The series was first broadcast during the 2012 London Paralympics and offered an alternative quirky review of the days sporting action. Presenter Adam Hills has a prosthetic leg himself and aimed to joke about disability in the same way as other topics are covered in comedy and the result was refreshing and very funny.

The Last Leg now deals with anything in the news and offers a satirical and occasionally bad taste view of the weeks events. Comedians Adam Hills, Josh Widdecombe and Alex Brooker present the show and they are joined each week by a guest. Russell Brand, Mickey Flanagan and Alan Carr have all been guests on the show. Regular features include “Is it OK” where the gang encourage the audience to ask this question on anything without the fear of being judged. The idea of the show is to question things that people may sometimes shy away from.

The Last Leg has been criticised for being tasteless but it can be very funny and thought provoking. The alternative view of the week’s events is always worth watching and the guests and the regular Last Leg team make it an enjoyable programme.
