The Dare Devil on CBBC is a family game show that sees a different family compete each week by doing some daring challenges that tap into their passions and their phobias, in order to win a prize for the whole family. This new gameshow has an appealing formula that is fun and spooky all at the same time.

The presenter Dan Antopolski suitable attired in devil clothes and horns sets the devilish challenges and the team leader, always one of the children gets to appoint family members to carry out the appointed tasks. These can be anything from singing a rap song in a shopping centre – as one mum was asked to do, touching spiders or snakes, going on scary rides or eating or drinking weird things. . Adults carry out the more difficult challenges – one parent was asked to drive a tank and the challenges are not easy although nowhere near as unpleasant as the tasks on I’m a Celebrity or similar.
The dare devil is a fun programme and the mood is light hearted and upbeat. Reluctant dare devils can pass on tasks to other family members and have lives in hand they can use if they fail on the challenge.

If the family succeed, and get through the contest without losing all of their four lives they win a prize that they can all enjoy such as a visit to a theme park or a holiday.
