Do you dare enter the Cube? Catch up with the Cube via youriplayer.co.uk and find out!  This unusual ITV game show is a unique challenge that offers contestants the chance to win £250,000 by successfully completing tasks while placed within a giant Perspex cube.
The basic premise of The Cube is that even easy tasks can be impossible if you are under pressure. Once the player enters the cube and experiences claustrophobia and disorientation under the pressure of a live audience, the tasks seem to become increasingly impossible.

Each player starts with nine lives and once he or she has successfully completed a task, proceeds up a money ladder towards a £250,000 prize. Each task must be successfully completed before the player can advance and once all the nine lives are lost by being defeated, he or she is out of the contest.
There are over 120 tasks that test intelligence, agility mental ability and response as well as the ability to keep a cool head under pressure. Games include Descent where the player throws a ball making it bounce of two columns into a target pot., Rebound – rolling a ball along a table and making stop behind a line and Stabilise that requires the player to walk along a three metre high beam. There are 120 games in all, and in some cases, the player can choose to play a simplified version for less cash.

Close up filming delivers their tension and anxiety to the viewer and presenter Philip Schofield oversees proceedings and manages to imply that the Cube has a malevolent mind of its own.
So far, nobody has won the £250,000 jackpot – this game is hard. However, players can choose to stop and win lesser cash prizes as they move up the money ladder. A celebrity edition of The Cube saw Olympic athlete Mo Farrer scooping the jackpot for charity.
The Cube has been showing on ITV since 2009. It has received three BAFTA awards as well as a TV Choice award and has also seen international versions of the game including China, Portugal and the Ukraine.
