The Big Questions
The Big Questions
The Big Questions on BBC One is a Sunday morning debate show that discusses matters of faith, ethics and religion. When the show first aired, the format was very similar to the political discussion show Question Time and featured a panel of guests who debated the topics along with some audience interaction.
This changed after the forth series when the panel of experts was replaced with audience debate and the invited guests took their place in the audience in order to discuss the subjects of the day. This has made the show more inclusive and has encouraged much livelier debate that often becomes very heated.
The Big Questions is hosted by Nicky Campbell and is broadcast live on Sunday mornings. Previous guests have included atheist Richard Dawkins and Anne Widdecombe along with notable religious commentators and thinkers from all the major religions.
The Big Questions was first broadcast on BBC One in 2007 and has run to three series. You can watch The Big Questions via youriplayer.co.uk and if you enjoy lively debates on ethical or spiritual matters, you will like this show.
