Sunday Brunch
Sunday Brunch
Sunday Brunch is a live cookery show broadcast on Sunday morning by Channel 4. This magazine style programme includes celebrity interviews, music and cookery and provides a chilled out and entertaining start to a lazy day! The show lasts for two hours and features the presenters cooking a meal, wine tasting, and highlights of the week’s entertainment news, including TV shows, films and music. Usually a band plays live in the studio and each week a guest chooses a music selection titled The Sunday Brunch Playlist – a mix of music and video clips.
The presenters are Simon Rimmer, a professional chef who founded a vegetarian restaurant and Tim Lovejoy a keen amateur cook who has appeared on MasterChef and was a TV presenter on Soccer AM a Saturday football programme.
Sunday Brunch invites a wide range of guests onto the programme. Recent shows have included Craig Revel Horward, Ruby Wax, cricketer Monty Panasar, Ardal O Hanlon and Seasick Steve and this wide spectrum of guests ensures that there really is something for everyone.
Sunday Brunch is a Channel 4 programme that filled the slot left by BBC programme” Something For The Weekend” that was axed because of budget cuts. This had been very popular and Channel 4 were quick to fill this space with Sunday Brunch which has a very similar format.
