Stepping Out
Stepping Out is a new ITV show, which airs on Saturday nights and taps into the craze for ballroom dancing started by Strictly Come Dancing. However, this rival show has plenty to offer the dancing fan and features some high profile celebrity guests and judges. Davinia McColl presides over the proceedings and this fun show is not as seriously competitive as rival show Strictly Come Dancing.

The unique point of ITV’s Stepping Out is that this show features six celebrity real life couples as they battle it out on the dance floor together each weekend.
We get to see the celebrity couples trying out their dance moves at home and trying to fit in their dancing alongside their other commitments. We get the interest of seeing who will cope with the pressure and who won’t, who can dance and who can’t and seeing the real life couples perform together as dancers is a different experience to seeing a celebrity perform with a professional dancer in a studio. Expect rows tantrums and occasionally tears along the way.

The first series released in 2013 features ex West life star Brian McFadden and his wife DJ Vogue Williams, Laurence and Jackie Llewellyn Bowen and Michael Brandon and Glynis Barber –the stars of 80s detective series Dempsey and Makepeace.
Former Spice girl Mel B, ballet dancer Wayne Sleep and top Australian choreographer Jason Gardiner occupy the judges’ position and award points as the dancers battle it out to the Final.
