Sadie J
Sadie J is a comedy drama series on CBBC that follows Sadie Jenkins a feisty girl who is part tomboy, and part cool teenage role model. She lives with her father, garage owner Steve and spends a lot of time in a male world, which includes her brother Danny, his best friend Jake and her Dad’s apprentice Keith. Even the dogs are male!
The plots of Sadie J revolve around her many dilemmas and situations, her best friends Delia (Dedes) and Christopher (Kit) as well as her home life and the ongoing romance of her father with beauty salon owner Beverley who is the mother of Ashlii – Sadie’s arch nemesis! Much of the action takes place at school or at home and also in a local café – the Y Café owned by Russian Mrs Z.
Sadie J has a fun and unbeat atmosphere that will delight its core audience. Sadie J has her own cool language that undoubtedly some teens will copy. Cherlylistic – something amazing in a Cheryl Cole type way, Fabulicious and OMJB (oh my Justin Beiber) are just three examples of how to talk like Sadie J.
Sometimes celebrity guests pop up in the show too. TV baker Paul Hollywood made an appearance as Mrs V’s boyfriend and Pixie Lott and Little Mix have also starred.
