Real Rescues is a BBC documentary programme that focuses on a day in the lives of many emergency services. These emergency services include a wide range; lifeboats, the police, fire-fighters, the ambulance service, and coastguards. In the most recent series, mountain and animal rescues are sometimes included.

Previous presenters of Real Rescues are Chris Hollins and Louise Minchin, with the current presenter being Nick Knowles of DIY SOS presenting fame.
In the 2013 series of Real Rescues, other counties across the UK are featured with the earlier series’ being filmed mainly in Portsmouth and Fareham.
