Real Housewives of Beverley Hills is a reality TV show that follows the fortunes of rich over privileged women as they lunch, bitch and dress up in frocks. In a way it is similar to the The Only Way is Essex but without the cultural depth. The housewives are mainly ex actresses or ex models who have nearly been famous but they all have rich husbands. Two of the housewives are Kim Richards and Kyle Richards both aunts to irritating heiress Paris Hilton.
Although this all looks insufferably smug and annoying, some of the housewives have has their share of bad times. Taylor Armstrong – one of the principle housewives suffered an abusive relationship with her husband venture capitalist Russell Armstrong who then went onto commit suicide. She now does work for a domestic violence charity.
One of the leading Beverly housewives is Lisa Vandepump. This English born actress and restaurateur has her own spin off series on US TV called Vanderpump Rules.
Real Housewives of Beverley Hills shows on ITV and the show has run for three seasons since 2010. There have been changes along the way to the housewives line up but to be honest it is very difficult to tell any of them apart. However Real Housewives is worth a watch if only for the cringe factor and lavish decors of their homes.
