Points of View
Points of View
Annoyed with the latest plotline on EastEnders? Are you disgusted of Tunbridge Wells? If so you will enjoy Points of View on BBC One and even if you are not, this customer feedback show is the perfect place to let off some steam about the week’s TV programmes, often executed in a wry and witty tone.
Jeremy Vine presents Points of View and deals with customer complaints and feedback. Letters and emails are read out (an added highlight is spotting the sometimes inappropriate voice-overs for viewers) and Jeremy Vine sports his usual concerned face. Positive comments and praise are also included about the weeks TV programmes and often feature requests to see a clip or a highlight of the weeks viewing.

The viewer s invited to write in with their views and it can be comforting realising that other viewers maybe had the same opinion. Some of the comments can be quite funny too. You can catch up with Points Of View via youriplayer.co.uk
In a way Points of View may be on limited time as an increasing number of people take to social media to discuss and complain about TV but this long running show has been part of the BBC One scheduling for so long, it would certainly be missed.
It is a British institution!
Points of View first aired on BBC One in 1961 and has had a number of presenters over the years including Robert Robinson – the original host, Carol Vordeman , Des Lyneham and Terry Wogan. Jeremy Vine has hosted the show since 2008.
An interesting piece of trivia about Points of View is that it was the first BBC show to accept emails in place of letters and in 1994, its producer had the only internet connection in the BBC Television Centre!
