Only When I Laugh is a classic British comedy series shown on ITV set in a hospital and starring James Bolan (of The Likely Lads/Grandpa in my Pocket fame) as moaning Roy Figgis and Peter Bowles as suave Archie Glover (of To the Manor Born fame)v510tv. The two star as patients, with wet Norman Binns, played by Christopher Struali. Richard Wilson of Victor Meldrew fame also stars as a rather stern doctor.

This gentle comedy is written by Eric Chappell who also wrote Rising Damp, Home to Roost and Duty Free.
