Na Bonnachain is a Gaelic children’s’ TV show about three puppets who live in a gingerbread house and love cooking. They have adventures around food and teach small children to take an interest in what they eat. Each week the human presenter Jack, helps the puppets carry out food experiments and create topical recipes. Cheeky Cheese Crab, healthy bean burgers, fruity chocolate or chocolaty fruit are all the sort of questions and recipes the puppets and Jack get to grips with.

The aim is to entertain and engage children with diet and the recipes and food tips are easy and designed to appeal to small children. Ideal for Gaelic speakers looking to find healthy recipes that please the children, Na Bonnachain is a BBC Alba show that will appeal to children and parents alike.
