Jamie Oliver teams up with his childhood friend Jimmy Doherty for some fun, banter and cooking in James and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast on Channel 4. The aim of the show is to come up with recipes and exciting dishes that are ideal for impressing your friends and family over the weekend.

Dishes that maybe you would not usually cook for yourself. In addition, the chaps travel round the UK discovering some British regional food favourites that may be in danger of dying out. In James and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast on Channel 4, the focus is on fun. Jamie and Jimmy are best friends in real life. As teenagers they both worked at Jamie Oliver’s father’s pub, the Cricketers at Clavering Essex, and both have been friends ever since as well has both making career out of food and TV presenting. Jimmy Doherty was featured in a BBC documentary series Jimmy’s Farm which followed his efforts to set up an organic pig farm and Jamie Oliver has established a cookery empire and fame with his cookery books and TV shows.

In addition has achieved national recognition with his attempts to reform the food offered in British schools and hospitals.
