Fonejacker is a Channel 4 comedy show that bases its humour on ‘phone based practical jokes. Fonejacker ran for 3 series’ in total from 2006 – 2010. Fonejacker Kayvan Novak dons many disguises to play tricks on the people he phones. Part of the show contains animated characters which are drawn in a slightly surreal style, similar to that of Monty Python’s Terry Gilliam’s.

Characters responsible for the fonejacking include mature in years ‘spiv’ Terry Tibbs who leaves car dealers baffled by ‘phoning them to offer either ridiculously high or extremely low prices; and Sajnu who works in an Indian call-centre and is extremely persistent.
