Obesity is growing in the UK to almost epidemic proportions, so it seemed almost inevitable that someone would come up the idea of Embarrassing Fat Bodies, a programme that examines this problem in sometimes excruciating detail. Embarrassing Fat Bodies covers everything related to extreme or morbid obesity. Expect to see some very overweight naked people and hear about their sexual problems, toilet problems, mobility problems caused by being too overweight to move, and all the issues surrounding obesity, revealed to the viewer in graphic detail.
Eating disorders and compulsive behaviour also feature as the team of doctors attempt to offer solutions while the rest of us look on and marvel.

Although obesity is a common problem this in depth look at extreme cases, feels at times to cross the line into voyeurism rather than pass on useful information. But on the plus side, it is horribly interesting and it may provide a public service and encourage people to lose weight before getting to such extremes.
