Daybreak is an early morning magazine which consists of news items, celebrity news and personal interviews. It is aired on ITV1 from Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 08:30 am and is the main breakfast program of the ITV Network. It is available for online viewing via Youriplayer.co.uk.

Featuring a team of presenters which includes, Ranvir Singh Kate Garraway and Matt Barbet Daybreak is divided into two main segments: Daybreak Newshour and Daybreak.
Daybreak Newshour lasts from 6.00 am to 7.00 am and is presented by Matt Barbet and Ranvir Singh during which news items are read and the morning papers reviewed.
Daybreak lasts from 7.00 am to 8.30 am and is presented by Kate Garraway, Aled Jones and Lorraine Kelly. It focuses on entertainment and lifestyle topics and also provides updates on news, sport and the weather which are presented by an additional team of presenters which includes, Ranvir Singh and John Stapleton.

Initially launched as a replacement for GMTV, ITV1’s morning news and lifestyle programme,   Daybreak initially struggled to meet its predecessor’s success.
As a result, a number of changes were made, including a studio makeover and an increased focus on mothers in an attempt to boost ratings.
The show currently attracts an average of 750,000 viewers per episode.
