Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Channel 4 is an American action comedy TV show about cops. The series has already been very popular in the US, clocking up two Golden Globe awards and looks set to become a favourite on UK TV.
The series follow the police of the 99th precinct of the New York as they take to the arrival of new Captain Ray Holt played by Andre Braugher who wants the department to run by the rulebook. This does not go down well with Detective Peralta, a wise cracking but clever detective who does not respond well to authority.
All this provides the conflict and running gags within Brooklyn Nine Nine and drives the plot and story. Later on in the series, the truth is revealed about the “By the Book “Captain Holt and it all becomes clear about his sometimes uptight behaviour. Daniel Goor and Michael Schur were the writers and producers of the award winning sitcom Parks and Recreation.
In Brooklyn Nine Nine on Channel 4, they have again taken a large cast of characters and balanced them together to make a new and extremely watchable sitcom. Brooklyn Nine-Nine's appeal comes from its ability to not shock or break new ground, but from its non-confrontational plot lines that will give you a warm fuzzy feeling.
Backed up with a large cast of already known comedians Brooklyn Nine Nine on channel 4 is already more successful in the USA than Parks and Recreation and has lived up to its makers expectations. Decide for yourself and catch up with the whole series of Brooklyn Nine Nine via youriplayer.co.uk
