Time for a Tusktastic Adventure? Babar and the Adventures of Badou is a children’s programme in 3D animation that follows the many adventures and escapades of eight-year-old Badou, the grandson of Babar the elephant. Showing on ITV, this glossy high budget series brings the world of Babar the elephant into the 21st century and will delight small children everywhere.
The series is set in Celestville where Babar is now the King, and sees Badou, his lively grandson and his many friends have adventures, solve problems and find themselves in all sorts of situations. Badou’s friends include Chiku the monkey, Munroe a brave porcupine, Zahwadi a bossy zebra and Jake a jackal pup. Badou is a prince but he still has to go to school like everyone else and many of the plots and adventures are set between the African landscape, school and the Palace. It is a unique world and beautifully animated in CG1.
Babar and the Adventures of Badou is a high budget American series and is one of the few children’s programmes broadcast in 3 D. If you and your family enjoy Disney then you will enjoy this show, currently airing on ITV. As Badou would say, it is tusktastic!
