Arthur is an educational animated series aimed at young children and preteens.
It is broadcast by the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) and is aired in the UK on CBBC.

Arthur focuses on the life of Arthur Read an 8-year-old aardvark who lives in the fictional American town of Elwood City, detailing the interactions and relationships that exist within his circle of friends and his family, on a daily basis.
Key features of the show include its emphasis on the importance of reading as well as its inclusion of important issues young children face such as illness or peer pressure.

Arthur is based on the book series of the same name,   written and illustrated by Marc Brown.
It was first aired in 1996 and is currently in its 16th season.
